How To Get A Cebu Pacific Promo Ticket

The travel lifestyle of the Filipinos changed when Cebu Pacific launched their Zero/Piso Promo Fares years ago. A lot were amazed and astonished on how they managed to do it. Other airlines tried to follow and recreate the low fare promotions in varying degrees but Cebu Pacific remained as the top choice for budget travelers.

Cebu Pacific Boarding Pass

I  already bought so many travel tickets through the years as a result of these promos and discounted fares. I already bought and used tickets to Cebu, Boracay (Caticlan), Puerto Princesa and even Hong Kong. So, I would like to share with you some tips on how to effectively book and buy tickets from Cebu Pacific Promos that is now a regular thing for the airline.

  • Cebu Pacific Seat Sales usually lasts from 1-3 days, and it's primarily available through the Cebu Pacific website. It's available at times through the Cebu Pacific Hotline  (+632-702-0888) but goodluck on getting through. It's still easier to book on-line.
  •
  • I noticed that they have big Seat Sales near the end of the month or if there are national holidays or occasions (eg. Independence Day, Inauguration of President Noynoy Aquino). They also have pocket and smaller promos throughout the month for regional routes (eg. Cebu-Davao, etc.) so always be on the look-out and check the website regularly.

  • Subscribe to Cebu Pacific's Twitter or Facebook accounts. They announce their sales and promos through these on-line channels a day or hours ahead of the public announcement via print ad. They usually announce it during lunch time.

  • Decide where to travel as early as now (yeah, as in NOW). If you're traveling with friends, family, colleagues, ask them where they want to go and how much they are willing to spend. Seat sales are very popular and the early bird gets the BEST worm. You have to act fast! Tickets run out fast especially for popular destinations.

  • I noticed that Cebu Pacific only gives 2 to 6 promo seats per flight on a particular promo. Best to book in one-go if you are traveling in a group. Individual booking is not recommended.

  • Speaking of destinations, Boracay (via Caticlan) is a very popular vacation place year-round; I noticed lately that Cebu Pacific hardly gives Sale Seats on these flights.  But you can still try, of course. Or make a Kalibo as an option.

  • Cebu is also popular destination but since they have many flights to Cebu, you'll have a high chance of getting  discounted tickets for this trip - even if you're bringing the whole clan.

    Waiting For Sunset

  • There are also seat sales for International Flights but they are limited compared to Domestic Sales. I was able to get cheap Hongkong tickets this year for only Php 2,000 ($ 43.00) but I only got evening flights because of its popularity.

  • No credit card? Fear not! The best mode in paying Cebu Pacific tickets booked online is through Bancnet or Megalink ATMs. Cebu Pacific allow travelers to pay for their booking via ATM until 11:59 pm on the day of their reservation. The booking will be canceled if unpaid before the mentioned time.

  • Only choose Go Lite Fares (no check-in baggage) if you're super sure that you'll only be bringing a 7kg hand-carry luggage. Excess baggage fee is high.

Cebu Pac is the best when it comes to low fares in the Philippines... I am actually a frequent flyer of the airline when I was still in the Philippines and now I am here in Saudi Arabia, I still manage to plan my vacation on October. Yes! I will be back home for my 1st 30 days annual vacation and will be touring a lot because of Cebu Pac. October 20 to 23 (Manila to Zamboanga) October 24(Manila to Singapore) October 27 (Singapore to Malaysia via Air Asia)October 29 (Malaysia to Singapore Via Air Asia) October 31 (Singapore to Manila)November 8 (Clark to Cebu) November 10 (Cebu to Clark).... Aside from that i was able to treat 7 of my family members for Manila to Zamboanga Trip and Clark-Cebu trip... all fares were cheap :) My tip is if you want a promo plan your vacation/trip 3 months ahead of time and if the date is close to a national holiday or national event you check the website to get the promo fare... good luck!!!!

    Hi, Mr. Anonymous!

Thank you very much for that tips. You'll sure be busy touring this October & November...all thanks to the amazing promos of Cebu Pacific!

    Enjoy!

If I may add, in terms of the number of promo seats Cebu Pacific has more for weekdays and less for weekends. It's because most people schedule their out-of-town trips during weekends and not during weekdays when there is work. :)

    Thanks, Edel!

Yup, that's correct. Easier to book weekday flights than weekends. Thanks for the tip!

Very nice blog and tip to grab $0 fare ! :)

I love taking budget air too , and hope Battle between budget air will help you decide on a feasible airline to take on your next travel period ! :)

I am a travel blogger myself and been taking budget air all the while , but i fell Cebu Pacific timing in Singapore isn't that feasible - usually at Mid Nights , so i usually take Airasia , jetstar and Tiger. :)

    Hello, Anonymous!

You can pay via Megalink or Bancnet ATMs. In the payment page, click on the other payments and just tick the Pay via Megalink/Bancnet ATMs. It will give you the exact amount you have to pay and the confirmation number that you have to punch in when you pay through your ATM. You have until 11:59pm of the same day to settle it or it will be canceled.

In the actual payment via ATM, just click the 'Bills Payment' and look for Cebu Pacific and punch in the confirmation number that the site gave you. Pay exact amount given then get your receipt. You'll receive your e-ticket the following day.

    Hope this helps!

Im a frequent 5J traveller too because of the seat sales.

I started with a 4.5k RT to Vietnam followed by:

    Bangkok RT P2200
    Kota Kinabalu RT P2100
    Cebu RT P112
    Singapore RT 602
    Macau OW P136

Ive booked other flights for roughly the same prices too. Nothing can beat CebPac when it comes to promo fares in the Philippines, well except maybe for Air Asia but the Clark departure is a bit of a drawback.
